FAQ

What is PTO?
South St. Marys St. Elementary School Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO) is a non profit organization made up of parents and teachers.  The PTO sponsors several events and fundraisers during the school year to help provide rich educational opportunities for all the children at our school.  PTO also provides a forum for parents to get involved with their child’s education and to help support the teachers in a positive and well informed atmosphere.  Let us be your link with the teachers and administration.

How do I join?
Please come to any meeting.  If you would like someone from PTO to contact you, please ask at the office or your child's teacher.  Many PTO volunteers are available on Meet the Teacher night, too.

When are meetings held?
Wednesday in the library

How Can I Help?
We have several volunteer opportunities if you would like to donate some of your time.  Some activities can be done at home, while others can be done during special events at the school.  Fill out the PTO membership form and let us know your interests and when you can help.

Why Does PTO Raise Money?
PTO contributes its funds to many school activities and needed materials, such as the Ice Cream Social, Family Fun Nights, AR Rewards, Field Trips, Olympic Games, Communication Folders, and many more!
